What do Icecream Party Hire do?

Ice Cream Party Hire will come and set up a Soft Serve Ice Cream / Yoghurt machine with a variety of Ice Cream Flavours, Cones, Toppings, Candies, Fruits and Syrups to chose from. (*Not all states provide these options.) Ice Cream / Yogurt machines are a brilliant addition to any function and will definitely be enjoyed by you & your guests. You can have your guests self-serve or we can provide an attendant to serve your guests for a small fee.

What type of functions are Ice Cream Parties suited for?

Ice Cream Parties are suitable for any occasion including Weddings, Birthdays, Engagements, Exhibitions, Fares, Kitchen Teas, Baby Showers, Christenings, Corporate Events, Promotions, and more.

How much Ice Cream / Yogurt do you provide and will there be enough for all my guests?

With all our packages, we provide approximately 125 mL of Ice Cream / Yogurt per person. We have found this to be a sufficient amount based on past events. Some guests might not have any Ice Cream / Yogurt or just a small amount, and others might have more than their share, so overall it averages out to be a sufficient amount.

How long does it take for the liquid to freeze?

In most cases an Ice Cream / Yogurt machine will take anywhere between 10 – 20 minutes to start producing perfect thickness Ice Cream / Yogurt. This time may vary depending on the temperature as the higher the temperature; the longer it will take to freeze.

Do I get to choose the toppings for the Ice Cream / Yogurt?

Yes, you can choose any of the topping, fruits and syrups found on our toppings page for your package. (*Not all states provide these options.)

What if I want a certain type of topping that isn’t on your list?

If there is any special topping that you want that is not on our list, we can source it for you, but this may incur an additional cost.

Do I have to clean the machine at the end of the event?

No, however you may be asked to top the machine up with water at the end of your event. The driver will empty the machine on pickup. The machines are then taken to the warehouse to be cleaned and sterilised after every hire.

How long does it take to set up and pack down?

It can take anywhere between 15 – 30 minutes.

What do I need to provide for the Ice Cream Party?

All you need to provide is a sturdy table/bench top that can comfortably hold 85kg for us to set up your Ice Cream / Yogurt Machine and a power point. It is a good idea to have your Ice Cream / Yogurt machine somewhere with plenty of room for your guests to be able to have access to it without causing too much crowding. If you are having your Ice Cream / Yogurt machine outdoors, you will need to select a sheltered area where the ground is level.

When is the Ice Cream / Yogurt machine set up and picked up?

The Ice Cream / Yogurt machine is delivered and set up on the day of the function and picked up on the next day. Delivery & pick up is between 9:30am and 5:00pm. If you require delivery/pickup outside of these times, please let us know and we will try and organise it for you, however an additional fee may apply.

Can you offer pickup on the night of the event?

Yes, we can pick up anytime from 9:00pm – 1:00am on the night of your party. An additional fee applies to a night pick up which can be established by contacting us. If it is not essential that the machine has to be picked up that night, your best option is to allow us to collect it the next day to avoid additional costs.

Can I have the Ice Cream / Yogurt machine set up outside?

Yes, we can set up your Ice Cream machine outdoors, however their needs to be sheltered area protecting the machine from rain, hail and direct sunlight. All we require is a sturdy table that can comfortably hold 85kg to ensure the machine is secure. No plastic trestle tables are to be used!

What if I don’t have a plug near the machine? Can I use one of my extension cords?

Yes, as long as the extension cord is plugged DIRECTLY into a power point. No power boards are to be used.

Are the machines easy to use?

Yes, very easy and lots of fun! One of our friendly staff will set up the machine and run you through the basics.
